Erik Weihenmayer recently caught up with
Steve Baskis, one of the members of the
Soldiers to the Summit expedition. Steve lost his eyesight in an explosion that killed his best friend. While he struggles to live in what he calls "The Black Abyss", Steve has been inspired by Erik and by a love and hunger for exploration. Photo courtesy of
